The Centre is also home to “Hughie” who is a life size skeletal replica of a Muttaburrasaurus which is Queenslands State Fossil Emblem and a range of fossils found in the region.
At the Hughenden Discovery Centre visitors can not only see dinosaurs found in the area but learn about outback Australian history, with many different exhibits. You will learn about the four national parks: mountainous, volcanic basalt country, sweeping black soil plains, rich fossils, and dinosaur areas.The interactive displays are perfect for families with kids.
